If the main site cannot be restored immediately but you still control the domain, we can often put a temporary page or replacement presence online within a few hours while the deeper recovery continues. We assess first rather than promising the same emergency fix for every situation.

Secure available access, stop risky changes and preserve whatever files, databases and backups still exist.
Recover
Trace the domain, hosting, CMS, backups and useful content. If access is missing, work through recovery routes.
Diagnose
Identify what actually failed and whether the existing build is technically and financially worth saving.
Rescue or replace
Repair, clean, migrate, reconstruct or rebuild according to what gives the customer the best result.
The old lesson still applies
Cheap work can become expensive when you have to pay for it twice.
An unfinished website is often the result of somebody taking on a project beyond their current experience. That does not automatically mean their work is unusable. We inspect it first and will happily continue an existing build when the foundations are sound.
But if the code, security, structure or development standard is poor, we will not spend your money endlessly patching it just because somebody already started it. Sometimes starting again is the cheaper rescue.
Not everything is lost
A failed website can still contain valuable business assets.
Even if the original hosting has vanished, we look for the parts worth recovering before starting from an empty page.
Text from old pages, supplied documents, cached pages and archived versions.
Logos, photography, product images and design assets from backups or archives.
Domain history, existing page addresses and useful redirect targets that may protect search visibility.
Indexed pages, Search Console data where available, titles and content that already attract visitors.
Old site archives, databases, exported CMS content and local copies can all become recovery sources.
Useful code can sometimes be extracted and rebuilt safely even when the surrounding site is poor.

The original site is partly lost, but enough content, images or backups exist to rebuild a useful version quickly.
Start again properly
The existing build is technically poor or unfinished enough that repairing it would cost more than replacing it cleanly.

My website has gone down today. Can you get it back online quickly?
We assess the situation first because the right emergency action depends on the domain, hosting and cause of the failure. If you still control the domain, there are often ways to get a temporary or replacement presence online within a few hours while the original site is investigated.
Can you rescue a hacked WordPress website?
Often, yes. We can assess the compromise, clean malicious files where practical, change credentials, update vulnerable software, review backups and move hosting if needed. If the installation is too badly compromised to trust, we will recommend a safer rebuild instead.
What if my developer disappeared halfway through the project?
We can review the existing work and decide whether finishing it makes financial and technical sense. If the code or build quality is below a reasonable professional standard, starting again can be cheaper than repeatedly repairing unfinished work.
What if the original hosting account has gone completely?
We look for other recoverable assets such as backups, local files, archived copies, cached pages, images, written content and domain records. Even when the original hosting is gone, it may still be possible to reconstruct a useful version of the site.
Can you restore an old website backup?
Potentially. We first inspect what the backup contains, how old it is and whether the software versions are safe to run. It may be restored directly, used as a source for recovery, or migrated into a cleaner setup.
Will you always try to repair the existing website?
No. Smarter Search gives the advice that best benefits the customer. If repair is sensible, we repair it. If the existing site is poor quality, insecure or likely to cost more to rescue than replace, we will tell you plainly.
